Meridith Antonucci, MA, LPC, E-RYT 500
I am a body-centered psychotherapist, experienced yoga teacher, and yoga therapist in training. In counseling, I integrate body awareness and movement with traditional talk therapy to help clients regulate their nervous systems and build greater awareness of their mental, emotional, and physical patterns.
I aim to offer a culturally sensitive space that supports you in unpacking where your beliefs and patterns come from, which includes working to understand how society and all of our unique lived experiences impact our sense of self and ability to relate to others. My work rests on the foundation that we all deserve to feel at home in our bodies and to live fulfilling lives.
My pronouns are she/her and I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Somatic Counseling & Body Psychotherapy from Naropa University and a BA in Sociology from Colorado College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor living in Denver, CO with my wife, cat, and dog.
Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500)
I am an experienced yoga teacher and a yoga therapist in training (~60 hours left out of 800!). I have taught yoga since 2010 and specialize in teaching steady and intentional alignment-based yoga and restorative yoga in public classes, individualized private sessions, and educational workshops.
I weave together precise alignment cues, nurturing hands-on assists and contemplative class themes that relate to our lives off the mat. My aim is to guide engaging, accessible, and trauma-informed classes with thoughtful and creative sequencing learned through over 1,200 hours of yoga training. Students say I am welcoming, attentive and keenly understand physical bodies and movement patterns.
I know there are deep connections between mind, body and spirit and I am committed to foregrounding the therapeutic elements of the practice. I believe experiencing a sense of embodiment through the linkage of movement, breath and body awareness can be an incredibly powerful tool for healing and transformation.
