My Approach to Counseling

Individual Therapy

&

Couples/Relationship Therapy

As a body-centered psychotherapist, I help facilitate the repatterning of mental, emotional and physical patterns so that you can experience more ease and steadiness throughout your life.

Let’s collaborate.

I utilize a strengths-based and client(s)-centered approach to counseling that is collaborative.

You are the expert in living your life and inhabiting your body and I can provide expertise in psychology and movement science.

Working together, we can create shifts in your mind, body, and heart in order for you to live a fulfilling life.

You are uniquely you.

I will work with you as a unique individual by taking your specific goals, strengths, social identities, spiritual beliefs, and lived experiences into consideration.

The core of my therapeutic approach is empowering clients to be and love their authentic selves in order to promote meaningful relationships with themselves and others.

My Training

I use a variety of therapeutic techniques learned from my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as Somatic Counseling, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, yoga therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.

I support couples with my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. I help partners identify and shift negative patterns, strengthen emotional bonds, and create secure connections. Sessions focus on recognizing underlying needs and emotions that drive conflict in order to increase transparency and intimacy in relationships.

My approach is based in both trauma-informed and anti-oppression frameworks.
